Becoming a christian
Your sins, every single one of them, are forgiven and you begin with a
clean record (Acts 2:38; 22:16).
We are given eternal life, so despite the fact that we will die on earth,
we will live eternally in God’s Kingdom and with Him
(John 3:14–15; Romans 2:5–7; 1 John 2:25).
Let’s say that you know you’re imperfect and are afraid that you can’t be good enough. Well, you come to Jesus in faith, and He makes you good. You and I can never do anything to be good enough, but we’re made good because God loves us. Even if we fail, we know that we can go to God in repentance and He is eager to forgive us (1 John 1:9; 2:2).
Alright, how do I become a Christian?
You must hear the word of God (John 6:45; Romans 10:17
You must believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Acts 8:36-37)
Believing that, you must confess Jesus as your Lord (Romans 10:9-13)
You have to willing to change you mind about how you have lived. This is called “repentance.” You change your mind and then your actions (Acts 2:38; 3:19)
After these, you must be immersed (baptized) in water. By being baptized, you reenact the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus in yourself to have your sins washed away (Romans 6:3-6; Acts 22:16; Mark 16:15-16)
Remain faithful in the word of God (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:25)
